Insanity Workout

INSANITY™ is a cardio group class, based on max interval training. This means you will have long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. The class will push you past your limits with athletic/plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training. No equipment or weights needed. There are different levels for each exercise, so you don't have to be in tip top shape to participate.

The class is set up in 7 sections:

  1. Warm Up - 5 intervals, 30 seconds each.  You do this 3 times.
  2. Dynamic Stretch
  3. Block 1 - Focus on Plyo and Endurance.  This has 4 intervals (30 seconds each) followed by 30 seconds of rest.  You do that 3 times and on the third you have a 1 minute power move before the 30 second break.
  4. Block 2 - Focus on Strength conditioning. Same as above: 4 intervals (30 seconds each) followed by 30 seconds of rest.  You do that 3 times and on the third you have a 1 minute power move before the 30 second break.
  5. Block 3 - Focus on Coordination and Agility.  Same as above.
  6. Abs/Core:  8 exercises at 1 minute each.
  7. Cool Down
